The Learner at this stage is introduced to complex issues of dumping/flooding markets with cheaper products in international trade. Pros and cons of free dumping are analysed including measures taken at international level. Dumping has become a serious problem in internal trade. We have also elaborated on different views in Africa on this matter. The Study Note also takes into consideration the strategic importance of convergence zones in the history of shipping routes and context in current global politics.
