This is an introduction to international trade. The Study Note starts by tracing trade in Africa during the early use of the Nile River for international trade, including the British and Dutch colonisation and early shipping services in the world. Additionally, the location & interrelationships of the world maritime nations in dealing with trade transgressions and maritime law, including counter measures taken to combat, piracy and migrant smuggling and the summary of case studies on countering poaching at sea.
